Wow! The first sprint of 2023 is already almost over!
But wait… “what’s a sprint”, you ask?
Our product development process is broken up into a series of 2-week-long sprints throughout the year. In each sprint, we code and test enhancements and new features that our product and design teams have queued up. At the end of each sprint, the features are released to be used by you!

Since there are roughly 26 sprints in a year, we name each sprint alphabetically, within the year’s theme.
Last year’s theme was food, bringing such sprints as Chimichanga, Kimchi, Paella, and Waffle.
2022 Highlights
Here are a few highlights made possible by our 2022, food-themed sprints!
Faculty gained the ability to view and communicate with students’ supervisors from the assignment grid. (Falafel)
Faculty and Students got more insight into student placement information in their widget sidebars. (Empanada)
Site supervisors saved time by signing time reports by email, rather than logging in every time! (Jambalaya)
Administrators enjoyed improvements to the help box, including access to the Tevera Admin Learning Community, the Product Portal, and Live Admin Support. (Naan, Paella)
Faculty and program administrators started logging advising notes. (Naan)
Students received immediate resolution on 45.1% of all support requests submitted thanks to our new conversational assistant! (Omelet)
Students produced more comprehensive time reports with the option to include their notes in the report output. (Omelet)
Program administrators logged in as students for more insight than ever into the student experience. (Udon)

For 2023, we’ve chosen Sea Creatures as our sprint theme, so keep an eye out for our Product News emails to see the new features coming your way every couple of weeks. We’ll be sure to tell you which sea creature we’ve chosen for each sprint as well!
- Typically, you’ll see the updates in the product on Tuesday or Wednesday following the Product News email, which goes out on Fridays.
Angelfish, the first sprint of 2023, was spent planning for the upcoming quarter, so we don’t have anything to announce quite yet, but stay tuned, we’re gearing up for another exciting year of improvements!
